Our stories to ourself about who we are in any given situation can create tremendous feelings of joy, enthusiasm and empowerment or devastating feelings of misery, apathy and victimhood.
Interpretation, no matter its intent is always self-serving and usually in an unconscious default mode. However, it can also be a conscious choice that boosts our empowerment no matter the circumstances that we find ourselves in.
When we turn our story around for our own benefit we can feel our self-empowerment bloom. 🦋
Our desires define our priorities, priorities inspire our choices and choices empower our actions. 🦋
We all have the power of choice. The only action we can control in any emotionally charged situation is how we choose to ‘react’ or ‘respond’.
Our choice can affect the outcome one way or another.
When we ‘respond’ to a situation, we are consciously in our power with the intention to create positive momentum aimed at mutual understanding and satisfaction.
When we ‘react’ we tend to be out of control, defensive and combative, spiralling deeper into drama, fanning the flames of our ego.
The next time you are in a challenging situation and your ego becomes triggered by fear, and you can feel frustration, annoyance, disappointment or some other defensive emotion rising to the surface, pause.
Take a deep breath and remind yourself that you have the power to transform the energy, direction and outcome of any situation with your response.🦋
Don’t give up!
Six months from now you can be in an entirely different place physically, financially, emotionally, career, business, relationship …
Don’t underestimate the power of your commitment and your abilities to make it happen.
Renew your promise to yourself (New Year Resolutions) and keep moving forward! 🦋
Who we decide to be in any given situation, is a choice that we can control. Queen or slave girl, victim or victor, empowered or powerless ….
‘I choose to be me’ is every self-empowered woman’s mantra, philosophy and religion.
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
~ Khalil Gibran
We all know that one courageous choice we need to take a chance on, to change a challenging or unsavory situation, for the better.
~ Judit e. Szabo
Are you living a life you are proud of?
If not … do you have the courage, strength and perseverance to begin again?
Yes you do.
It’s a choice.
